Voice referendum, 14 October 2023

Want to make your referendum vote count in two ways?
(1) Vote as you chose on the proposed change to the Constitution, and
(2) Write “Reduce Immigration” in the blank space atop the ballot paper (as illustrated below) to send your message to scrutineers and Australian Electoral Commission personnel who are tasked to note if numbers of ballots bear a focused handwritten message such as the REDUCE IMMIGRATION ‘write-on’. This is always part of the AEC’s official post-count election/referendum review that they are required to formally compile and submit to Government as an integral part of their post-event analysis. For further information, see our ‘How To’, ‘Write-on Campaigns’ and ‘FAQ’ pages on this website.
